Larry is a Clinical Sexologist certified by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, & Therapists and is a member of The American Academy of Clinical Sexologists. He has served on the faculty of colleges and universities, as well as national health and teaching institutions. Larry has served with several boards and councils in coordinating adolescent sexual health programs, policy development, and overseeing teen pregnancy and HIV prevention. He has written numerous articles on sexuality and drugs, and was the host/producer of an award-winning cable TV show entitled Sex Talk.

As an educator and trainer for the past 16 years, Larry has traveled extensively, training all levels of health, mental health, and allied health professionals. He has the distinction of being the first male sexuality educator in Florida while an education director for Planned Parenthood, and is recognized as one of the leading educators in the areas of sexuality and HIV/AIDS. He still travels frequently to conduct numerous workshops and seminars, and is a favorite on college campuses and professional conferences.

Since 1987, Larry has also maintained a private psychotherapy practice, specializing in sexual and sexuality issues across the life-span. He is frequently sought out by other professionals to provide training and consultation on a variety of issues, including sex therapy and treatment, working with adolescents, sexual orientation and identity issues, sexual assault/abuse, adolescent sex offenders, pharmacology and substance abuse issues.

Larry received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biopsychology and Master's degrees in Psychology and Psychobiology.

Larry is currently the CEO/President of the Sage Institute for Family Development and also serves as an AASECT Sex Educator Supervisor.
